Government employees of Chile have announced a 48 hour labor and office strike beginning Wednesday, Nov. 13. Custom officers and others in government institutions will be unavailable at this time as back office functions, national social services, government health offices and agencies will be closed. Import and export shipping services will suffer loading, inspection, and vessel servicing delays. These delays will result in increasing operation costs due to storage and penalties.
