Traffic Control in Beijing July 1 to September 20, 2008 For those of you with shipments pending or planned for the Beijing area, you will need to be aware that there are major traffic restrictions starting July 1 through September 20, 2008, due to the Olympic and Paralympic events. A link to the official Olympic website has been provided below that provides more on this official announcement regarding traffic control measures (going green), as well as more on the Olympic events. It has caught many by surprise as it was widely anticipated that these traffic control measures would begin around mid July.
