Growing Global 2007

The World Trade Center St. Louis recently named Michael Kranisky, president of UniGroup Worldwide, Inc., as the Global Business Person of the Year for his exceptional contributions to international business.

The World Trade Center notes that this highly selective award is presented to “a special businessperson who – individually or as a driving contributor to the success of their company – has demonstrated extraordinary ongoing commitment to international business.”

Kranisky embodies this commitment having led UniGroup Worldwide through seven consecutive years of record revenue and earnings growth. He was instrumental in forming an alliance with UTS, a Netherlands based international relocation company with locations throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. Most recently, he spearheaded UniGroup’s acquisition of business operations in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.

The award was presented at the World Trade Center’s “Growing Global 2007” event at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton, Missouri, on September 26, 2007.
