Update on Import Export Confidentiality Customer Letter In an effort to keep you informed and protect you and the customers' confidentiality, it was recently brought to our attention that U.S. Customs is providing customers' shipment information (name and address) of those entering and exiting the United States. This information is provided to various commercial magazines and journals who are authorized to publish this information unless Customs is provided a letter by the customer requesting confidentiality. To assist customers, please read the attached letter that you may be sent to them, along with the confidentiality request. At this point in time, this is something that must be done by your customer. We are working to exempt HHG shipments from the disclosure; however, in the meantime, the information is being published, unless the customer requests confidentiality.
