UniGroup Worldwide UTS is informing all clients with shipments leaving the UK that there is a change in the VAT Reclaim Scheme. The VAT forms 407 and 435 are to be cancelled and UK customs have stopped accepting these as of August 31, 2003. A new form which amalgamates these two documents is to be introduced in the near future, which will not cover any items being shipped unaccompanied. There is currently no replacement form for goods being exported unaccompanied and in the future any goods will be refunded at the discretion of the shop at which the goods were purchased upon receipt of proof of export.
