St. Louis, Missouri based UniGroup Worldwide is the international subsidiary of UniGroup, Inc.  

In 1996, UniGroup, Inc. the $2 billion dollar parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit merged the international departments of the largest and most recognized moving firms in the United States to form UniGroup Worldwide.  The result was optimized efficiencies through combined volume, centralized quality performance measurements, information technology development and financial resources.

In 2001, UniGroup Worldwide entered into a strategic operating alliance with Netherlands-based UTS to form UniGroup Worldwide UTS. The alliance completes a network of over 1,000 U.S. agents and nearly 300 non-U.S. shareholders outside of the U.S. servicing all of the world's major centers of commerce.  

In March 2007, UniGroup Worldwide acquired existing and fully operational moving and storage facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The acquisition closely fits the strategic interests of many of their clients in this increasingly important economic region.

In 2006, UniGroup Worldwide introduced mascot, Professor Van Miles, The Worldwide Welcome Mascot! Included in our unique Culture Kits for transferees, the macot has warmed the hearts of many and provides the children with a friend to take along to their new home as they make their move together overseas.

A "Frequent Miles" club was developed for the new owners of Professor Miles and help him reach a "Million Mile" goal. Owners are encouraged to take photos of Miles in his new home or surroundings and send to UniGroup Worldwide Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.

All mascots include his diploma to certify that he completed to satisfaction, "The Study of Moving Children All Around the World".
