In 1996, UniGroup, Inc., the $2 billion dollar parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit merged the international departments of the largest and most recognized moving firms in the United States to form UniGroup Worldwide. Specialty Flatbed Services offers air-ride tractor trailer units, retractable tarp systems and single drop trailers. Quality serivce is offered to customers who require optimal performance and demand professionalism at every level of the move.
As a subsidiary of UniGroup Worldwide-UTS, Logistics is a non-asset based, full-service third party logistics provider (3PL). Customers are provided customized designed supply chain solutions that integrate transportation, warehousing, and installation through advanced technology and industry resources.
MultiTek, an added service in 2004, focuses on advanced technology solutions and the project-oriented marketplace with total end-to-end specialized solutions in the technology area.
Throughout the UniGroup affiliations, Logistics and MultiTek offers a superior global network of warehouses and services to accommodate your needs for short or long-term projects.
In Fall 2005, a business plan was submitted to UniGroup Worldwide proposing the start-up of a specialized flatbed fleet. Within a few short weeks, the plan was in motion and the first, inaugural drivers were placed into service on January 23, 2006.
Over time, drivers and clients were gradually added to the team, re-building one of America's best specialized flatbed fleets, now in operation for UniGroup Worldwide, Inc.
