Overseas Transit Protection
UniGroup Worldwide UTS will protect your household goods and personal effects
against loss or damage in transit to the overseas destination. While the
coverage costs are in addition to transportation costs, our policy includes
these outstanding features:
- Door-to-Door Protection - The policy extends from the point of origin to residence at the international destination, including packing and unpacking if completed by a professional mover.
- Transit and Storage - Household goods are protected in transit as well as during storage for up to 90 days if required.
- Replacement Cost at Destination - based on your declared valuation (valuation worksheets will be provided by UniGroup Worldwide UTS prior to packing).
- Optional Protection for Losses - Additional features are available for losses, including mechanical derangement and electrical impairment, mold and mildew, and damage to pairs and sets.
- Broad Terms and Simplified Language - Generally, the insurance provided under this policy is broader than that of similar insurance products and written in clearly understandable terms.
- Direct Settlement - Insurance is written on your behalf and payments for loss or damage are paid directly to you.
- Coverage for Automobiles - The policy includes vehicles being shipped overseas and the repayment of expense for renting a vehicle if the auto is damaged in transit.
- Global Claims Servicing by Multilingual Staff - Claims are serviced and settled by professional, multilingual claims analysts in both the United States and the United Kingdom who have access to a global network of repair firms and support offices in over 75 countries.
